Van Stone’s New International House Art And Black Studies Series: American Indians And Black Americans Are One Peoples From Africa

Writing a series about the ‘African Presence In Ancient America’ is nothing new to do.  Many people write about Native Americans and or Africans and will describe them as two different races of people.

Actually American Indians, Indians of Central and South America and the Caribbean’s and even Australia and Europe and Ancient Africans are the same Peoples originally from Africa.

Interestingly, Before the Columbus Period, American Indians were not name-called Indians- They were name-called after a particular group living in a country in one of the six or seven continents. That country was India, a country in South Asia.

Also, it’s very important to note that only Africans were name-called Africans before the Columbus Period.  Because Africa is a continent, made up of so many original countries and territories, Africans were name-called after each particular territory and group in Africa.

So, answer your own question about Ancient Indians: Does it really matter that during the Columbus Period, the country of India was referred to as Hindustan or the Deccan or the European term for indigenous peoples all over the world was "Indians" from the Spanish "In Dios" meaning "God's people"?

God’s people? Why call Indians God’s people?

The Spanish of the Columbus Period didn’t have to search for God’s people. 700 years before the Columbus Period, the people who were known as God’s people were name-called the Moors of Africa.

The Moors were original people that moved into all Spanish territories and ruled the land. The Moors of Africa moved from Africa into Spain and other territories of Europe.

If the Moors of Africa were able to travel long distances it is shouldn’t be a big surprise that there were other travelers from Africa capable to do deep traveling from one continent to another.

In the Americas, there were a group of peoples name-called the Olmec, distant travelers of peoples all the way from Africa to America.

The Olmec peoples were from the nearby Nile and Egyptian territories in Africa.

For years the name God’s people was used for Africans living in the nearby Nile and Egyptian territories in Africa. Therefore, it appears that the Olmec peoples, who had similar physical features that the original Egyptians and American Indians have today, were in fact peoples who traveled from Africa to the Americas.

Native Americans may have traveled through parts of Asia and or the Middle East, but the American Indian original journey began from Africa.

In Europe, the Caribbean, South, Central and North America, in order to enforce prejudice and racist laws, Indians and Africans had to be name-called as separate peoples so that European conquerors could fool the world to be under a thought control of no Africans arrived in the Americas before Europeans did.

The world of mankind was to believe the lie that Indians in America were tribes of people first introduced to escaped African slaves and then embraced escaped slaves from Africa as family and friends. Today, no matter what facts are proven, many people refuse to accept that racially and ethically original American Indians in America and original Africans in America are the same peoples.

Facts are: Egyptians built pyramids and so did the Olmec. Egyptians wore braided hair and so did the Olmec. And of course Native Americans wore braided hair too.

For more information about Native Americans and Black Americans in America see Dr. Ivan Gladstone Van Sertima and his book ‘The African presence in Ancient America They Came Before Columbus’.  To be continued.
