When people from all points of the Delaware Valley, especially people who may have Philadelphian family history, crying out for relief and hope, local action on major challenges – from poverty to gun violence conflict, trouble securing sustainable development, too many ex-offenders left behind, arisen unemployment, given misinformation about ancestry – are paralyzed by dysfunction and held hostage to political party tensions and affiliations, both Warren Bloom, candidate for City of Philadelphia mayor, 2023 and Van Stone, professional political analyst shared the above-mentioned warnings this past Monday, November 14, 2022.
Delaware Valley Coalition Philly (‘Policy, Arts and Sports Coalition Philadelphia… for Friends of Philly’) Director Leaders Warren Bloom and Van Stone announced the new effort, which will convene different stakeholders and independents, and voices into the Coalition, to enhance the role that Philadelphians who may have Philadelphian family history play a vital role in combating poverty, crime and gun violence.
Delaware Valley Coalition Philly aims to ensure that the people of the Delaware Valley metropolitan community - Indigenous Peoples, multi-ethnic groups, business professionals, registered voters, Philadelphia ancestry, and the First Philadelphians benefit from participating in elections, neighborhood change learning more about the accurate history of the Delaware Valley Philadelphia.
On Monday Warren Bloom, candidate for City of Philadelphia mayor, 2023 and Van Stone, professional political analyst officially launched the Delaware Valley Policy, Arts and Sports Coalition Philadelphia… for Friends of Philly as a new forum to convene key stakeholders who may have Philadelphian family history in the fight against poverty and crime – especially against gun violence – as well as, leaving too many ex-offenders behind.
The goal of the initiative is to turn ideas into action by bringing together independent and group partners who might not otherwise interact to collaboratively refine and pilot projects. Included in the group will be perspectives from various points in the value Philadlephian family history (lineage) – project developers, corporations, investors, registered voters, affiliated and unaffiliated with a political party, indigenous representatives, multi-ethnic groups representatives, environmental groups and studies research bodies.
