Van Stone here. You are hearing me say it first and foremost. It's almost impossible that I will win the Democrat Primary for State Rep serving sections of West Philly, North Philly and a tiny area of East Falls Philadelphia.

But hey... what's happening Philly? This is just a whole lot of fun.

More importantly though, there's real history in the 190th District. One such history is my home neighborhood identified as West Park. Affectionately known to so many as West Park Projects.

That being said, the heart of so many Philly neighborhoods, West Park, has become an endangered neighborhood.

As we go over this campaign statement of mine, West Park is in trouble of being demolished, imploded, displaced and most likely another forgotten part of Philadelphia history and Black Philadelphians.

Wait, that's not correct. Both White and Black Philadelphians grew up all together as family-people in West Park.

So, I am going to run my campaign for state rep the only way I naturally know how. Like a rebel with a cause. Like a renegade with passion. Like an anti-hero that I am.

We who come from the projects aren't supposed to be something good. And yet, just look at me... Here I am running for a top political seat that could actually make a positive over negative difference in Philly history.

I am going to tell the story of West Park in parts.

And I don't really care if folks don't like to see long writing here or most places on digital-online-media.

So, here we go! Let's all understand a little bit about me and why I am who I am today. I give credit where credit is due.

If it wasn't for the West Park Projects, I know my life wouldn't be what it is. Exceptional. Rebel-like, Renegade-like and Anti-like.

Oh, and the photo that I post with the story of West Park won't really have anything to do with West Park or even my political campaign. Visual arts is just my thing. That's what I do. Be myself at all times.

In addition to my work for a better Philadelphia I have launched several speak up campaigns against actions that hinder good relationships progress between citizens and cops.

A few such actions that have hindered good relationship between families and law enforcement in the City of Philadelphia as well as the Pennsylvania state are the uses of police for the stop and frisk policy, the uses of the Office of the District Attorney for child support enforcers, the municipal court judges uses of sheriffs and local police officers for enforcement because of parole violations, and the family court judges uses of sheriffs for enforcement because of non-child support payment.

In addition to developing these campaigns to help make a better Philadelphia I worked for improving other causes, particularly 1988 through 2019. Helping people to learn to cope with the tragic loss of a love has been another one of my specialties.

Getting involved in loss management has been dear to me especially so, due to my own personal experience coping with the tragic loss of love ones.

I can remember the loss experiences.

I was very young when some of them happened. Because a loss is an unfortunate thing that happens, any place, any time, many of them just so happened to had occurred wherein, I grew up.

Van Stone’s WVSR/Front Page News Sports Media Is Launching A Black Philadelphians Sports Talk Show That You Will Watch And Listen Too Featuring Eli Latson And Sports Critics

Much to our excitement, it’s finally happening–there’s going to be a Van Stone WVSR1360 and Philadelphia Front Page News sports talk show. Van Stone will executive produce Facebook, Podcast and Youtube sports commentary because Black Philly and beyond the big city of Philadelphia deserves a sports talk show where everyone can listen to local analyst rap-on about how much they “know” sports.

Van Stone sports media will make online history in Philly come March, 2020 when it debuts its first in the know sports talk show. Great opinions will outweigh cheering views when you get right down to sports.

Stone’s talk sports radio and talk sports TV world will be led by host Eli Latson, a Philadelphia native who has been none already to give us hot opinions as a reporter.

Latson does a fantastic job at focusing on what’s obvious, relaying injury, salary, skills and social updates, as well as reporting on what halftime adjustments ought to be made so coaches and players can attempt to do better against opponents.

The show will feature Eli Latson and cool people talking sports in a format that sources say will be like the top 20 national sports talk shows meets the bottom 10 national sports talk shows.  

There will be a lot of urban-community-style talk (not much different than ESPN) and rural local talk radio programming styles.

Eli Latson opinions on who the top dudes are in the NFL, the NBA, Boxing, Baseball, colleges, high schools and more sports topics will be the norm. Kids Hoops and any sport that becomes the subject of discussion will help push the sports topics.

The show will be fun and unique because of the inclusion of surprise entertainment professionals and popular activist making a difference in Philly and nearby cities.

WVSR, Internet and AM/FM digital streaming, is a public broadcasting, company, an independent education broadcasting service radio and television station serving Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, United States that is licensed to Philadelphia Pennsylvania. Van Stone Black Women Models, and (Black Men Models), has absolutely nothing to do with human skin-tone. All models, regardless of race, ethnicity or culture promote the Van Stone view of the symbolism of Black- all things positive.

West Philadelphia Van Stone Radio Station “Philadelphia Internet Education Radio Station” WVSR 1360.1 AM, was founded in 2003 as Philadelphia, Pennsylvania’s first located Internet education television station and radio station, a Black American programming that allows viewers to watch television and listen to the radio over the Internet.

The radio station can be listened to live visiting its licensed radio station links -“Philly Funk Radio”- at  www.fpnwvsr.org.

  

The radio station location originally began at 5029 Walnut Street. It was a low powered licensed radio station with a listening radio radius limited to the West Philly area and the center city Philly areas. It’s second station location was moved to the tower high-rise project building of the West Park neighborhood which is at 46^th and Market Street and 43^rd Street and Market Street and Powelton Avenue. The listening radio radius expanded from there to all areas of Philadelphia including the Northeast Philly areas.

Currently WVSR no longer uses radio frequency that can be picked up by a car antenna or radio/TV antenna. WVSR uses AM/FM radio frequency that can be picked up by Internet connection, streaming broadcasting locally, nationally and internationally.   

The Philadelphia Front Page News (previously the Van Stone's Digest ) is an American newspaper, headquartered in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Published online daily, it was created in 2000 by Samuel Van Stone Downing. The Philadelphia Front Page News also publishes the WVSR-AM Newsletter for its readers, viewers, and listeners.

The Front Page News has a readership of about 90,000 and is mostly read by people living in the Camden, New Jersey, Delaware County, Wilmington, Delaware, Chester, Pennsylvania, Bucks County, New York City, Jersey City, California, Harrisburg, Hopewell, Virginia, Philadelphia, as well as the Rhode Island area.
