Bob Conga, a Black Belt, a Martial Arts Head Teacher (Master) and Community Activist, Floyd Smith Sr., a Black Belt, a Martial Arts Sensei (Grand Master) and Community Activist are co-hosting to make it easy for you to listen to our popular martial artist programming. Van Stone, a Black Studies Teacher (Historian) and Community Activist, will be a featured as a third co-host for the show.
In Martial Arts becoming a Master bears the dual meaning of highest skilled tutor and parent
and thus connotes a state of being in a teacher-student relationship akin to apprenticeship.
A Master, especially in Martial Arts, passes along, not only self-defense, but also virtues for the teacher and student to learn to govern oneself, and helping the student to take to heart and hopefully pass on to the next generation what was learned.
“Behind-The-Scenes News” is the name of the show on Van Stone USA talk radio web page.

This week, Floyd Smith Sr. will be a special guest on the weekly talk show “Making a Difference” hosted by Bob Conga from 4:30pm to 5pm.
Conga will give a brief introduction of Sensei Smith Sr. to the Van Stone Radio 190,000 listeners. And Conga and Smith Sr. -the "Martial Artist Masters" will talk about a few Behind-The Scenes details.
The martial arts that Bob Conga, Martial Arts Master and Floyd Smith Sr., Sensei talk about aren’t like ordinary martial artist. These Black Belts tell a story and educate by discussion that capture the emotions as well as events about Black Martial Artist nationally and internationally.
A discussion about a Black American’s rise to obtaining black belt degrees as well as becoming tutors in sports and community issues tells the story of a the Grand Master family. A discussion of being in the Eastern World (Japan) or Western World (United States) to learn training in martial arts schools, studios, and dojos tells the story for an excited martial arts student and fan.
Bob Conga and Floyd Smith Sr. have the technical skills to discuss complex martial arts information and equipment.
Most black belts have several martial artist styles and experiences. Some choose Chinese and Japanese martial arts while others choose American martial arts. Bob Conga and Floyd Smith will talk about how some martial artist like styles that mainly use hands and feet while others prefer weapons (tools).
Conga, Martial Arts Black Belt Master and Smith Sr., Martial Arts Black Belt Sensei will discuss knowing how to use the older martial arts format taught by Grand Masters is important too.
