Television networks, radio, organizations arts councils, chambers of commerce, music associations, museums, charitable foundations, radio stations, and theme parks present programming showcasing Black performers in concert as well as documentary and feature films about the development and influence of African-American musical forms.
But June is Black Music Month is not just for the celebration of Black performers in America. Blacks all over the world, Blacks in any country perform and their influence is musical choice of (Dominican Republic) Bachata, Salsa, Merengue, Cumbia, Mambo, (Jamaica) Reggae, Mento, Calypso, Ska, as well as (Haiti) Rara, Twoubadou, Compas, and Meringue, Mini Jazz, Mizik rasin, (Trinidad) Soca, Steepan, Parang, (Southeast Asia) Lam, |Farfisa, Lao Lam, Lao Duem.
