Future is heading for his third No. 1 album in less than seven months on the Billboard 200 chart. The rapper’s new Evol -- which was released on Feb. 6 through A-1/Freebandz/Epic -- may earn over 135,000 equivalent album units in the week ending Feb. 11, according to industry forecasters, and should open atop the chart dated Feb. 27. Evol follows his two earlier leaders, which both debuted atop the list: DS2 (Aug. 8, 2015-dated chart) and What a Time to Be Alive (with Drake, Oct. 10, 2015).

 

The Billboard 200 chart ranks the most popular albums of the week based on multi-metric consumption, which includes traditional album sales, track equivalent albums (TEA) and streaming equivalent albums (SEA). The top 10 of the new Feb. 27, 2016-dated Billboard 200 chart is scheduled to be revealed on Billboard’s websites on Sunday, Feb. 14.

Coldplay’s former No. 2-peaking A Head Full of Dreams may zoom straight into the top five -- and possibly the top three -- (from No. 16) on the Feb. 27 chart, thanks to exposure from their Super Bowl 50 halftime performance and sale pricing for the album. The band headlined the halftime show on Feb. 7, while A Head Full of Dreams was discounted to 99 cents in the Google Play store and to $6.99 at iTunes.

Forecasters suggest the set could move upward of 90,000 units in the week ending Feb. 11 -- up from 25,000 in the frame ending Feb. 4.

Elsewhere on next week’s Billboard 200 albums chart, look for possible top 10 debuts from Wiz Khalifa's Khalifa (with around 60,000 to 65,000 units), Elton John’s Wonderful Crazy Night (60,000 units) and the Now 57 compilation (55,000 to 60,000 units).
