Timbaland Enlists Gary Marella As Mosley Music Group Exec VP

Distributed by Epic Records and founded in 2005, Mosley Music Group plans to release two major projects this year: Timbaland’s next album, Textbook Timbo, and Tink’s debut studio album. Timbaland’s recently announced business ventures include his scripted hip-hop musical Opera Noir in association with Leftfield Pictures and the development of a hip-hop docu-series in partnership with television personality/actress La La Anthony that will center around Jeff Janvier and Session Cruz’s Face Time Agency.
In a press release announcing Marella’s appointment, Timbaland said, “Gary is a true visionary who not only will help to expand our roster but will also optimize and identify opportunities for them.”Marella, who still runs Mono Music Group, formerly worked with the Roc Nation-associated management firm Three Six Zero Group. Prior to that, he spent nine years as senior VP of promotion at Universal Records. Added Marella in the press statement, “Timbaland and Marcus have had a tremendous amount of success to this point. Together, I know we will continue building the Timbaland and Mosley Music Group brands.”
