COVID-19 News Story Van Stone Launches Campaign To Stop The Coronavirus Spread;
SCW Soul City’s “Hard Rock” Hamilton Slammed Into The Fight
As the coronavirus grips Philadelphia and California and stringent
measures are taken to slow the spread of the infection, two national Black radio
stations and a national Black professional wrestling organization -Power WVSR
1360.1 AM/FM, featuring Van Stone and Kashim Turpin, Antoinette Cook, David Anthony, and the Van Stone Black Women
Models, Philly Funk Radio, featuring Jerry Wilson, and Soul City Wrestling SCW
starring “Hard Rock” Hamilton are providing citizens with a sense of normality
amid a quarantine.
The station broadcasts from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, a big
city known as the "City of Brotherly Love" under stay-at-home. Trains
stop there, and the streets are pretty much empty.
Guests, including authorities, are invited on air to shed light on their efforts to help stop the spread of the infection.
The radio stations, especially WVSR, have about 190,000 viewers, listeners and followers on newspaper webpages, magazine webpages, Facebook pages, YouTube channels, Podcast and other online media who send in messages of appreciation and ask questions as they find ways to entertain themselves at home.
Van Stone Philadelphia Community School Technology has also come to the aid of teachers and students. At home school support is provided as Kashim Turpin, Education Man, Hard Rock Hamilton, Family Entertainment Mentor, and Van Stone, Community Activist make a way for kids to discover fun and safe educational materials on the web. Schools have closed across the country until to be determined, and students can follow the Van Stone Productions Foundation courses and share their experience on webcams connected to digital platforms if or if not having access to at home internet service.
There is a shortage of affordable nursing mask for front line nurses and the urban community as a whole. Recently, Van Stone has designed a one size-fit-all face mask which maybe used as fashion, style, and more importantly safety precaution for the poor not able to buy a mask. Stone and friends, Pro Wrestling World Heavyweight Champion Hard Rock Hamilton, Antoinette have volunteered to either make donations toward the purchase of the “Van Stone Face Mask” or design other face mask that are cheap cost but very durable to get the job done.
This is not the only solution Stone came up with. Stone has begun his own COVID-19 Stop the Spread Campaign that seems to be catchy insisting that nurses are heroes in the battle to defeat the virus and that the coronavirus is not a hoax.
